A Laptop to Call My Own!

Alright, so... yesterday my new laptop came. :) And it looks like THIS:



(Studio Design :heart:)And I'm offically o b s e s s e d with it.

Let me tell you a short story.
One day, out of the blue, my mom ordered my dad to go out and get her a laptop (because she knew squat about anything technology related) and my dad, of course, obeyed.
She just wanted a laptop that would access the internet so she could comfortably do her online shopping in her bed, on the couch, at the kitchen bar, etc; So, essentially a piece of crap.

Well... I inherited that piece of crap.
I photoshopped on that laptop. I played maple on that laptop. I wrote and drew with my wacom on that laptop. I made movies and downloaded songs on that laptop. I webcammed on that laptop. I watched anime on that laptop.

All of which it was not made to handle.

Running multiple programs at once? It was like, 'Um, hello? You expect me to do all of THAT? No, thank you, I think I'll go and take a nap or something.' And I was all like, 'Well... f*#@ you!'

And then, after three years of use that it was not built to handle, something completely unrelated and really really shitty happened.

The screen broke.

Like literally, every time it was jarred even in the slightest, it cut to black. The connection sending the backlight power to the screen was loose/broken which literally turned my computer into a desktop... on life support.

And now, thanks to a glorious boy who loves me and works with computers for a living, I have this miraculous machine that makes my eyes tear up with joy (not really but you understand).

Originally, I had wanted a Mac for college (art student) - buttt... expensive. And honestly, I'm pretty sure I like this better since I know my way around the operating system.

It's gorgeous. The screen is high definition which I'm totally gushing over, all of the lights on the laptop are white instead of blue (a little detail that was unexpected that completely like, made my life), it's light and the screen is omg so bright and the design on the back? Perfect. There's amazing little details that I couldn't even seen on the website photo.

I'm a very happy girl.
Oh, and this is actually MINE! Not my mom's or dad's or brother's or a friends... it's MINE. :floating:

Alright. This excuse to this glorious machine has been beaten to death.

Definitely more art soon. I havvve to see how amazing things look with a high def screen.
